This training will explore immigration trials and techniques and illustrate best practices for building the record for appeal.

The skills seminar takes places the day before the 2015 National Lawyers Guild Convention.

A separate registration fee applies to the NLG convention.
 

AGENDA

Registration: 8:15 – 9:00am

    Coffee will be provided.

CLE Seminar: 9:00am – 5:00pm

       Lunch Break: At approximately 12:30 pm, participants may leave the seminar to have lunch on their own from among a variety of options close by.
 

CLE CREDIT

The CLE has been approved by the California Board of Legal Specialization for legal specialization credit in immigration and nationality law for a total of 6.25 credit hours (subfields: C/4.25 hours in removal/deportation/exclusion and D/2.0 hours in administrative and judicial review).  If you do not require legal specialization credit, the CLE is also approved for 6.25 credit hours of California MCLE credits (general).

Please note: NIPNLG will seek CLE credit in California only. Attorneys admitted to states other than California who desire CLE credit must apply for it independently. NIPNLG will provide a Uniform Certificate of Attendance and supporting documentation to attorney upon request. Please check with your state bar to see if the training qualifies for CLE in your state.

Legal Worker/ Nonprofit/ Student: $175 before October 9, $200 after October 9, 2015

Current members of NIPNLG, NLG, or minority bar associations: $225 before October 9, $250 after October 9, 2015

Private Attorney: $275 before October 9, $300 after October 9, 2015
